Geneva airport night flight worries

National News // Dec. 15, 2016

As traffic continues to grow at Geneva airport, the issue of night flights are a major concern to locals. The airport has agreed with local authorities that noise levels will be capped at existing levels from 5am to 6am and then from 10pm to midnight.

This could be achieved with only allowing newer and quieter aircraft at that time.

But there will always be an issue of delays. As more services run from the airport – there is a chance more of them will suffer occasional disruption and will be forced to arrive or take off later.

Although the airport has benefited greatly from low cost European flights – there is a desire to bring in more long haul services operating out of Geneva.
