Brothers try to stop voluntary suicide
A Geneva court has been hearing the case of an 82-year-old man whose two brothers want to stop his bid to legally take his own life.
The brothers went to court to put a stop to the help the organisation Exit was offering him.
The three brothers regularly go hiking together and they say their brother's health is too good to justify ending his life.
He is losing his sight and finds walking painful, but the lawyer for the two brothers said the guidelines recommended euthanasia only when all other treatments had failed.
A verdict has not yet been reached in the case.
