Robots should be taxed says Geneva professor
A law professor from Geneva says there should be a tax on using robots.
Xavier Oberson says such a tax should be based on the fact that robots can replace humans in many jobs so represent a new form of tax assests.
He told "Le Temps" that use of robots will lead to lower tax revenues, less social security contributions and the possible need for additional financing, reports Blick.
He is now planning a scientific study on this issue
