Operation 'Nez Rouge' seeks Christmas drivers
Operation Nez Rouge, or Red Nose, is looking for volunteers to help with its Christmas campaign to stop drink driving.
The service, which runs throughout Switzerland, provides an escort for anyone who thinks that they are incapable of driving home safely because they've drunk too much or simply because they are too tired. Volunteers drive clients' vehicles home for them, with the client safely in the passenger seat.
This is the 27th year that Nez Rouge has operated in the country. The organization is looking for drivers, telephone operators and carers to commit to one or more nights as a volunteer.
Each year, more than 8,000 people offer their time free of charge to Nez Rouge. Last December, they took 30,000 people home safely.
