Not enough women in top management positions
The number of women holding company posts in Switzerland is too low, according to a report by Credit Suisse.
The report says that the share of women in top management positions is just 6.8% in the country compared with an average of 12.6% in Europe.
The report shows that over the past eight years the number of women on supervisory boards has grown by more than half with women taking 13.4% of places on company boards. This is still behind the international average of 14.7%. In Europe, the share of women on boards of directors is twice as high as in Switzerland.
