Geneva unveils plans for No Car Day
The Ville de Genève has unveiled plans for the town centre to mark the international day without a car.
On Sunday September 25th, the quays by the lake will be closed and also the Mont Blanc Bridge. Tables will be set up on the roads and the Ville is encouraging people to reclaim the space for the day.
Roads will be closed from 10 to 4pm and there will be stalls, food trucks and activities – cantonal minister, Luc Barthassat suggests even taking your couch onto the street.
