Geneva film director dies
The Geneva documentary film director Patricia Plattner, has died at the age of 63 after a battle against cancer.
Her films include "Made in India" (1999) and "The Owl and the Whale" (1993), and " "Les petites couleurs" with French actress Bernadette Lafont and Anouk Grinberg (2002) and "Bazar" with Lou Doillon and Pio Marmaï (2009).
Born in 1953 in Geneva, she studied art history at the University of Geneva, before obtaining a diploma of higher visual art school in 1975.
In 1979 she co-founded "Les Studios Lolos,' a collective dedicated to graphic design, photography, painting and cinema in Carouge.
In 2003 she was awarded the Merit by the City of Carouge, the town where she lived until his death on Monday morning.
