Geneva man becomes first to finish Pokemon Go in Switzerland

A Pokémon Go fan in Geneva has become the first Swiss player to complete the game - although game developers can't verify this.

Preferring to remain anonymous, ‘Michael', who's avatar is the pokédex player, says when the game launched six weeks ago in Switzerland he wasn't interested.

But a friend encouraged him to download the app and he's not stopped playing since.

The 24-year-old claims he's not a geek, he just found it fun and wanted to catch all the Pokémons.

On days off, he played for an average of 6 hours, and a little less on work days.

Currently 6 of the 151 Pokémons are not yet available in Geneva, so Michael took his two-week vacation in the US and Australia to catch Tauros and Kangaskhan.

And on 14 August, at Eaux-Vives park, after walking 240 km and playing for 300 hours he grabbed his 145th imaginary animal.
