Man shouts 'terrorist attack' before stealing Chewbacca from St Gallen hair salon
A masked man who raided a hairdressing salon in St. Gallen, shouting 'terrorist attack' stole a model of Chewbacca, rather than cash from the till.
Before leaving with the 1.95 meter cut out, he threw a note on the floor that said he had to rescue the hairy Star Wars character because he suffered from Stockholm Syndrome, where victims feel empathy and sympathy with their captors.
Salon owner, Ivan Herb, told 20 Minutes he did not think it was funny.
The hairdressers is known for its creative window displays and he had not seen anything like it for the 31 years they had been open.
Mr Herb did not lodge an official complaint but is offering a 100 franc reward for Chewbacca to be returned.
