Man arrested for posing as police and robbing people in Geneva
A man who pretended to be a police officer and rob a man at a Geneva Post office has been arrested after his victims alerted the real police.
On Sunday he approached a man who was trying to withdraw money from la Poste du Mont-Blanc and said he was a police officer. He then asked the man to follow him.
When the man asked to see his police card, he fled.
Police were alerted and spotted him approaching another target. When they tried to question him, he ran off again and hid under a car.
When they finally caught the 20-year-old, who was from France, he was taken to the Public Ministry accused of impersonating an officer and attempted theft.
