Concerns over parents treating swimming pools like nurseries
There is growing concern that too many parents in Vaud are leaving their children unattended at swimming pools.
From the age of 8 there is no obligation for them to be accompanied by an adult.
Managers and lifeguards at Renen and La Sarraz pools told 20 minutes that parents are treating them like nurseries over the summer because the subscription rate is only 100 francs and bathing time is unlimited.
They are also concerned about the children's safety as lifeguards can't monitor everyone.
