The United Kingdom has ended its 43 years of membership in the European Union after 51.9% of Britons voted to leave.
The result prompted David Cameron to announce he is to step down as prime minister - and UKIP leader Nigel Farage to declare it "independence day".
It's also led to Scotland's first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, saying a second independence referendum was "highly likely."
