Walking 55 million steps with ESCA Cancer Support
ESCA CancerSupport provide emotional support, practical help, well-being activities and a welcoming community in English to anyone affected by cancer. Although their Geneva Centre is currently closed due to Covid19, they are offering support online.
To help meet their 2020 fundraising goals and bring the community together, albeit in a safe and socially distanced way, ESCA CancerSupport have created Steps for CancerSupport as a fitness and fundraising challenge for people to get involved in over the summer. Their aim is to virtually reach the 55 million steps it takes to walk around the world - all in 20 days to celebrate ESCA CancerSupport’s 20th anniversary.
Co-Director Nicola Bowers explains the challenge to Katt Cullen on the Mid Morning Mix.
You can join in and participate in Steps for CancerSupport by walking, running or even dancing. You can also show your support by sponsoring someone else, or a team. Or simply sharing this podcast on social media to raise awareness.
