The Tiger Lillies come to Geneva

Mid Morning Mix // Events// Entertainment// Art & Culture // Dec. 8, 2017

The Tiger Lillies' singer Martyn Jacques explains their unexplainable style...

Described as a dark humored brechtian cabaret, a fusion between 1930’s burlesque and English music hall, or the missing link between Tom Waits and Monty Python, The Tiger Lillies are indeed hard to categorise.

"It's influenced by things like the Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Vile and it has influences of the blues and countertenner.

I tried to make a style of music which was impossible to describe, so it's quite difficult to describe it."

The Tiger Lillies shock, amuse and entertain in a postmodern vaudeville style.

Catch them at the Théâtre de l'Alhambra on Friday 15th December.

Tickets start at CHF 36.90 are available on ticketcorner.ch or at any Swiss post office.
