SwissPats: Illuminated forest walk & Ski jumping
Want to go for a run in Zurich this weekend? The courses are between 1.5 (for under 8s) and10 km. Runners are encouraged to dress up (Run for Fun category). The idea is to run into the new year. The races begind in the old town, go through the east bank area and then finish in the town centre.
On the 15th and 16th of December, Engleberg ski jumping world cup is taking place. It's the largest jumping facility in Switzerland and this year is allowing spectators to get closer to the ski jumpers than ever before. On the 15th there will be an after-party with a DJ and on the 16th it's a family day.
In north east Switzerland, near Säntis, there will be a path illuminated by lanterns that goes through the woods and up through the mountains. Though the path is on an incline, it's not hard and can be done be all hiking abilities. Whilst on the trail, you will be taught about rare plants and animals - learning as well as walking !
After the walk ends, finish and warm up in guest house with mulled wine and racelette.
