Sky's the Limit: the top 5 must-dos in Dubrovnik
On this week's Sky's the Limit, Amanda travels to the jewel of the Adriatic coast - Dubrovnik
1. The City Walls
The city walls make for a great wander around the city, especially if you’re a game of thrones fan. They offer a number of incredible views over the Adriatic and inwards over the old city centre.
2. Dubrovnik Cathedral and Treasury
This beautiful Baroque Style Dubrovnik Cathedral is notable for its three aisles, three apses, and splendid interior décor.
3. The Stradun
This spectacular street stretches 300 meters and is a great place where locals and visitors gather in the many cafes and restaurants. It's a great place to take up a spot of people watching or simply rest weary feet. Or if you prefer a sea view, check out the Mala Baza Bar for some cliff jumping!
4. The Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries
Built in the early 1300s. Dubrovnik's Dominican Monastery is so large that construction required moving parts of the city walls just to accommodate it. Note the Gothic cloister.
5. The Fort Towers
These towers rise an impressive 37 meters above the Adriatic and are notable for their unusual triangular layout with three terraces.
