A group from Glasgow are hoping to represent Switzerland at the 2015 Eurovision song contest in Vienna, Austria.

Scottish loverboy wants to represent Swiss at Eurovision

Switzerland invites entrants from outside the country, who may not be otherwise eligible, to submit applications for Eurovision. The Swiss won the first song contest in 1956, with a song called 'Refrain' by Lys Assia. In 1988, Celine Dion also won for the Swiss despite being a Canadian national.

The Scottish group, who incidentally are looking for a name if you've got any suggestions, are made up of a group of amateur performers. Christina Rose Leon is the lead singer. She has a background in burlesque and is a jeweller, but jumped at the chance to be part of Eurovision.

The groups song 'Loverboy' has already been voted in the Top 10 out of 200 entries for Switzerland. Will they end up being selected? You can vote for them at - www.loverboy.xyz

Tony spoke with Christina on Drivetime.
