Scott Bradlee on the golden age of music, being fired from Walmart and YouTube fame

Mid Morning Mix // Entertainment // March 27, 2017

In Scott Bradlee's own words he makes "pop music in a time machine!"

Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox take the biggest pop hits; from the likes of Beyonce to Justin Bieber or Rihanna, and imagining how they would sound if they were recorded many years ago in the golden age of music; the swing era; motown era or the 1920s. There's a rotating cast of incredible musicians that bring them to life.

Scott goes tells us that one of their shows will feel like "going to a party in the 1940s with the ratpack, with the added bonus that you're going to know the songs, because they're the most popular songs of today."

Tune in to find out how it all got started in the paint aisle at Walmart (and subsequently how he was fired!) and how he found fame via his YouTube channel, where he still releases a tune every Thursday and you can find past releases covering tracks including Wheatus, Vanilla Ice and even Metallica.

Catch Postmodern Jukebox at the Kongresshaus in Zurich on the 8th April and at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva on the 9th April
