Matali Crasset's approach to design

Mid Morning Mix // Style // Sept. 14, 2017

The IKEA Democratic Design Day looks to explore questions on how we will live in the future; the design of spaces and products and how design will affect our home and our everyday life. This event is looking at the future of what living at home will look like, inviting a selection of designers, architects and sociologists to reflect on this.

Matali Crasset is a French star industrial designer. She sees design as a quest. Matali works from an eccentric stance and is one of the most incisive and experimental designers of our time. She spoke to us to talk about her process and her work with IKEA so far.

Matali Crasset will be speaking at the IKEA event on the 22nd September, held at top design school, Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL), in Renens.

Register in advance for free to attend the event. Spaces are limited.

Also, you can sign-up to two workshops on the 21st September. There's one workshop in cooperation with Design Prize Switzerland: Ageing Society. The second workshop is in collaboration with the design department of IKEA of Sweden and about living off-grid. Again, places are limited. Register here
