Marc Checkley is Too Close For Comfort

Mid Morning Mix // Events// Entertainment// Art & Culture // Dec. 7, 2017

This may be the naughtiest production yet from the Geneva English Drama Society

From a horrifying (and bloody) moment in a bathroom, to an utterly desperate 'date' in a local pub and the last lingering thoughts from the grave, these five one-act play-readings and biting monologues, revel in those moments in life when you wish the Earth would just open up and swallow you whole.

The cast takes you on a visceral ride, performing the works of celebrated playwrights David Ives and Alan Ayckbourn along with three new original works.

Too Close for Comfort, by Marc Checkley
The Philadelphia, by David Ives
The Mile High Club, by Kamil Haque
It's A Wonderful Lie, by Felix Cheong
Drinking Companion, by Alan Ayckbourn

The format is 'super-play-reading'. Work is put on with limited rehearsals, by talented actors.

Tickets are CHF 20 and can be bought on the door. All profits from both performances will go to the charity Serve The City Geneva who do great work in the city of Geneva.

Ticket stubs can be used for 10% off at The Hamburger Foundation after the show and anytime over the weekend.
