Lausanne based Medair visits refugee camps in Lebanon and Syria
Switzerland is host to many international humanitarian organisations that provide relief to disaster areas all over the world.
One of them, Medair, is based near Lausanne and is working with refugees from the war in Syria.
The chief executive, David Verboom, has recently returned from refugee camps in Syria and Lebanon and says the situation is desperate and points out Lebanon is hosting a a number of refugees which amounts to a quarter of its population.
Mark Butcher asked David first – what drives Medair and what does it do.

That was David Verboom, chief Executive of the humanitarian organization Medair, based in Lausanne.
