Dig It! Fruit Trees (12 March 2018)
Spring is traditionally a time to plant fruit trees, and with more demand for fruit trees for smaller spaces, there are plenty of new varieties available. A brand new variety from Plantipp, is the very pretty Appletini apple tree. It's an edible crab apple, with masses of pink flowers in spring, and lots of pretty, tiny fruits in the autumn. If you can't find Appletini, you can look out for any "patio" fruit tree, perfect for growing in containers, or a "dwarf" form, ideal for a small garden. These forms are readily available at most good garden centres, or alternatively, buy from a specialist.
