AtoZ English - reading and writing classes for kids in English

Mid Morning Mix // Events// Family// Entertainment // Sept. 4, 2018

AtoZ English start teaching children to read and write in English from young as three or four years old through primary school, with a curriculum that teaches the most important reading, writing, grammar and spelling skills.

This year, they celebrate their 10th year.

Headteacher Vicki Swales explains the concept of their classes to Katt Cullen on the Mid Morning Mix...

Classes are currently offered in Kanton Aargau (Baden), Kanton Zürich (Glattbrugg, Oerlikon, Kalkbreite, Klusplatz, Küsnacht, Stäfa, Adliswil, Horgen & Thalwil), Kanton Schwyz (Altendorf) and Kanton Zug (Baar & Cham). Class venues are all easily accessible by public transport.

  • "Phonics Fun" is play-based learning for children from the age of 3.
  • From 5 years old, children can join the "Reading, Writing and Liking It" course which develops independent reading, writing, grammar and spelling skills for English-speaking, native, bi-lingual and multi-lingual primary school children. Spelling and phonics are emphasised and a systematic progression is used for learning word families and important spelling rules.
