An incredible stay in Ticino
The WRS team took a trip to Ticino to find out more about this Italian-speaking, palm-tree lined canton.
We spoke to locals and professionals about the best spots to taste authentic Italian food, or take a cooking course to make authentic risotto ourselves. We learnt the top tips to booking your hotel room at the best price, the best places to shop at discount prices and where to sample authentic local beers and wines (try the white Merlot!). With plenty of great hiking tours, gastronomy tours and easy transport tickets, we learn the best way to discover the canton and gave away goodies throughout the morning.
Veronica Lafranchi from Ticino Tourism tells us about the of grottos of Ticino. Located amongst nature, the original grottos have always been the perfect place to eat local cheese and cold cuts, but now many grottos also have hot dishes, such as risotto or polenta, available.

Manuela Nicoletti from Ticino Tourism is really taking advantage of all Ticino has to offer. Her weekend starts with live music on Friday night.
