Amy Foundation fundraising
The Amy Foundation is a South African Non-Profit organisation running daily programmes to educate, develop and empower over 2000 children and youth living in disadvantages communities. The 6 centres across Cape Town give kids the opportunity to access after-school care, literacy and numeracy support, sports equipment, language classes, business development classes and practical, job-focussed training such as hospitality skills.
Kevin Chaplin was a banker for 26 years and worked as a Sales and Service Director and Human Resources Director before coming to the Amy Foundation. He's now the Managing Director of the Amy Foundation and his book "Can Do! A story of making the impossible possible - a life journey" will be released in August. He joins us in the studio with Shay O'Brien, Swiss Ambassador for the Amy Foundation, as they're currently fundraising.
They need your help! In addition to the financial support they're looking for, the Amy Foundation also need volunteers. Whether you can donate your time to teach English (or teach hospitality skills, for example) Kevin welcomes volunteers from across the globe to support the Amy Foundation, as he tells Katt on the Mid Morning Mix...
For a full list of the skills they're currently actively seeking in their volunteers right now, check out the volunteer page of their website or contact Kevin at firstname.lastname@example.org
