483km complete and 13km to go - running Switzerland with Izyaslav Koza
Izyaslav Koza is a high endurance runner who is currently running across the entire length of Switzerland. This will be the sixth country that he's run across, having previously tackled the United States, Cuba, Great Britain, Ireland and France.
On the 22nd May Izyaslav set out from Müstair on the Eastern coast of Switzerland. He has now run a grand total of 483km since that 6am start just 10 days ago.
Mid Morning Mix presenter Katt Cullen called Izyaslav whilst he was running just outside Aubonne on day 9. Mid 72km stretch there wasn't much time for stopping and so he ploughed on as they spoke about the things you do for love and top tips if ever you're planning a high endurance run.
If you fancy tackling a 13km run tonight - Wednesday 31st May - you can join Izyaslav as he leaves Geneva and runs his last few kilometers to Chancy for the final 13km of the 496km stretch.
(In comparison, Katt's just checked her fitness tracker and she can confirm that she's barely scratched 5000 steps per day during those 8 days. Oh the shame...)
