Intolerance against Muslims increasing in Switzerland, says European body
According to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Muslims in Switzerland need a common umbrella organization to counter increasing discrimination. The OSCE reviewed religious tolerance in this country and says that intolerance against Muslims has increased since 2001, exploited by right-wing and populist parties. For example, the report cites that Bosnian or Albanian immigrants are often not identified by ethnicity, but rather by religion.
