Food Scout: A pretty puff pastry from Glarus
Glarner Pastete is a sweet pastry speciality from the canton of Glarus. It is usually floral-shaped and made from puff pastry. Typically, these pastries are filled with sweet almond paste and/or plum paste then sugar-dusted and topped with the symbol of Glarus. Individual-sized versions are also available and called Beggli in Glarus and Glarner Pastetli outside of the canton. Food scout Amy Eber explains:
