Is e-voting more secure than e-banking?
Could electronic voting eventually replace the ballot box in Switzerland? Not if the results of a new report from the Bern University of Applied Science are to believed. They say that none of the current systems in use by the cantons of Geneva, Zurich and Neuchâtel are 100 percent secure. Michel Warynski is head of information systems at the canton of Geneva. He believes e-voting is still more secure than e-banking. WRS’s Dave Goodman spoke with him and the co-author of the report Professor Eric Dubuis.
