Boarding a boat to car-free RapperswilThursday, 28 April, 2011Warmer weather means more ferry boats are sailing on the lakes in Switzerland. Celeste Neill discovers one of the country’s more unique boat trips, from Zurich to the town of Rapperswil, in the canton of St. Gallen. The town is known for its three rose gardens, which comprise a total of 15,000 rose bushes of 600 varieties. Car-free Rapperswil also features the Knies Children’s Zoo, the Circus Museum and longest wooden bridge in Switzerland:
