Sports Round-Up: Steve Guerdat wins gold in individual jumping
Matthew Leighton, reporting from the London 2012 Olympics, says the Americans had a good night in athletics. Brittney Reese from the USA won the long jump. Matthew has a rundown of other winners too. Beach volleyball is now finished for the women—and it was a big success. And Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat had the only clean round in individual showjumping, beating Dutch and Irish riders who were in a jump-off. He is the first gold medalist from the Jura:
