Still sunny skiing at over 100 resorts
Good skiing is to be had from 10 a.m. until between noon and 2 p.m., especially on higher or north facing slopes, says Matthew Leighton. But beware—earlier than that the snow is very hard. Matthew says many pistes around the country are still open and if you call ahead, you might even be able to get 30 to 40 percent off at some of the resort hotels:
