Health Matters: Advice on vaccines to guard against cervical cancer
Every year in Switzerland, there are about 320 cases of cervical cancer diagnosed, but there’s a far higher number—5,000 in fact—of pre-cancerous diagnoses that require treatment. A common cause of cervical cancer is the human papillomavirus, or HPV. However, there are two vaccines that can protect against HPV.
