People are at higher risk of being stung by bees and wasps and even bitten by snakes during the summer. And yes, says Dr. Michelle Wright, there are some poisonous snakes in Switzerland. She discusses what to do to treat a bee or wasp sting. She suggests scraping the sting off the skin with something hard like a credit card rather than trying to squeeze it out. For snake bites, the key is to keep the person’s heart higher than the wound — while waiting for an ambulance:
