Executive Life: Aiglon College's Richard McDonald
Nine of the 10 most expensive boarding schools in Europe are in Switzerland, according to a Forbes magazine article. Most of them are in the French-speaking part of the country, and all of these schools are more expensive than Eton College in England. Clearly, independent education is a big business in Switzerland, but how did it become so important? WRS’s Pete Forster poses this question and others to Richard McDonald, headmaster of Aiglon College and outgoing chairman of Zurich-based SGIS, the Swiss Group of International Schools:
