Ornament is crime? Sculptures and statues in your garden

Statues, sculptures, pots, armillary shperes and lots more — even some gnomes.

There is a huge range of great garden ornamentation and it’s best planned in at the beginning of a new project, but don’t worry if you already have a finished garden, there’s always space for something!

Some of the options include statuary (classical and traditional), sculpture (modern), jars, sundials, pots, obelisks and spheres.  Gnomes and other “amusing items” can all have their space, too - if you like it, then buy it, it’s your garden, after all! The extraordinary gnome website is at www.zipfelauf.com

Next week we’ll talk about inspirational websites, books and gardens to visit, as well as where to buy, locally and further afield.
