The birth control pills were reviewed by Swissmedic the following their involvement in the death of one young woman and another who is now severely disabled.
Swissmedic says although the risk of thrombosis is higher with this generation of Yaz and Yasmin, the risk remains, as they say “within reasonable limits.”
Bayer, which manufactures the pills, says it has updated its information for medical professionals and patients.
