Two Swiss climbers died this morning on the Italian side of Mont Blanc. Rescuers say it’s unclear how they fell as they were climbing the Innominata.  An investigation is underway.

The Val D’Aosta rescue service recovered their bodies. Officials have not released the identities of the climbers other than to confirm that they are Swiss.
