Tougher law proposed on cabaret girls

The law could soon tighten up on cabaret girls.

The government is proposing a bill that would close the Swiss market to those coming from outside the EU.

Most are from Eastern Europe, Russia and the Dominican Republic.

It’s not easy for them to get in as it stands. They need a work visa, but such a restriction just wasn’t enough anymore, says the Federal Migration Office.

Bojana Krancheva deals with labour issues linked to countries outside the EU. She says the new law will help but that more needs to be done.
