You currently pay 46 cents per kilowatt-hour used.
In 2013, that will be reduced to 31 cents per kilowatt-hour.
So that means an average household bill will fall to around CHF 43.50.
Swissgrid doesn’t make profit.
Costs are calculated each year by working out the ratio between electricity consumed and produced.
The company says its also studying power options abroad
