A Swiss couple could be part of a trafficking ring for the Calabrian Mafia in Italy.

Police from northern Italy said the pair was arrested along with eight others for trying to smuggle a large quantity of drugs and weapons through the Ticino border.

It’s thought that the weapons could have been for the notorious Ferrazzo family.

Italian authorities say the family is locked in bloody in-fighting, since one member broke away from the clan in 1996.
