Migros boycotts goods over currency savings

Retailer Migros says it’s pulling some L’Oreal products from its shelves because the cosmetics company isn’t dropping prices low enough in light of the strong Swiss franc.

The boycott applies to some Garnier Fructis products as well.

Rival Coop boycotted a number of products earlier this year over a lack a currency savings but it ultimately reached a deal with many suppliers including L’Oreal.

Since the start of the year a number of Swiss retailers have dropped prices on thousands of products as consumer groups pushed for import savings to be passed on to customers.
