Nearly unanimously, Merck Serono’s 630 employees at the Geneva headquarters have adopted three options to avoid layoffs.

They have been put these to management, backing them up with a warning that they would go on strike next week if they were turned down.

A delegation from the staff committee, along with members of the union UNIA, will meet with management this Thursday to discuss these options.
