Yesterday marked the first trip of the new Cisalpino high-speed train from Geneva to Milan. The first train left Geneva’s Cornavin station at 5:45 in the morning and made it to Milan without incident and on time. The next trip left Milan at 16:25 and did suffer a delay, but the train was able to catch up and arrive on schedule in Geneva.
This new train shortens the trip by 38 minutes. While the Geneva-Milan route seems to be on track, the Gotthard route is still in limbo due to technical problems with the new trains.
