An Ivorian man has been sentenced to life in prison by a Bern regional court, for murder, robbery and attempted rape.

The series of crimes were said to have happened in 2010, holding three Biel prostitutes at knife-point.

The 32-year-old man apologized for the crimes in his final words to the panel of five judges, but the panel was unconvinced.

Chief judge Maurice Paronitti called the man extremely dangerous, and a sexual predator.
