Landscapers find bag full of gold

City workers in Klingau in the canton of Aargau, near the border with Germany, found 2.5 kilos of gold bullion while mowing the grass.

A department head and a trainee came across a plastic bag at the end of June containing pieces of gold wrapped in tissue paper and secured by tape.

The pair told the local newspaper, Der Botschaft, they thought they had come across drugs at first and not gold worth 124,000 francs.

So far, no one has reported the gold missing.
