Italian finance police have tracked billions in hidden money, and Switzerland is said to have been a prime destination.

Authorities yesterday said they had tracked 4.6 billion euros in untaxed money abroad since the start of the year.

Switzerland, Great Britain and Hong Kong were the prime destinations.

Italian authorities said they had carried out 63 operations since January, with most of the cases dealing with foreign companies which hadn’t registered in Italy.
