Federer knocks London Olympic rules

Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has ridiculed eligibility rules that might keep German competitors from the London Olympics.

The German Olympic Sports Federation says players must be ranked at least 24th in the world to play in the games, which Federer said was too high.

The world number two said he wanted to see as many Germans at the games as possible.

Germany’s top players are Florian Mayer and Philipp Kohlschreiber, ranked 28th and 29th.
