Former Julius Bär banker Rudolf Elmer will stay in jail through the weekend, following his arrest Wednesday in connection to stolen bank data handed to WikiLeaks.
The Zurich district attorney filed a formal complaint to a magistrate today, who has two days to consider the filing. Whether a full trial will go forward will be announced Monday.
Elmer was given a conditional fine and probation Wednesday in connection to previously stolen bank data and threatening emails Elmer sent to colleagues.
After that announcement, police arrested Elmer again in connection to the WikiLeaks data handover.
