72-year-old wins paternity test right

After a 10-year battle, a 72-year-old man in Geneva has won the right to exhume the remains of his father for a paternity test, who died in 1976. He had to take his case from Switzerland to the European Court of Human Rights in order to get permission to dig up his father’s remains. The son learned only late in life from his mother that the dead man was his father, and is seeking proof. Experts aren’t sure whether the remains will be sufficient to a DNA test.
